In just five years, Growe has grown from a small team of 30 to an international powerhouse with over 1,000 specialists in marketing, design, and beyond.
This rapid expansion has not only strengthened our operations but also positioned us for continued success and influence, firmly placing us among some of the biggest companies in the iGaming industry. An unwavering startup spirit and a focus on innovation have driven this journey.
Since our founding in 2019, we’ve prioritized maintaining a vibrant startup spirit. Our main goal is to ensure that Growe is centered around a culture built on trust, innovation, and open communication. We focus on every team member’s growth and development, fostering flexibility and a deep sense of purpose and belonging. Now, with employees in over 40 countries, we strive to create impactful, creative projects that bring our global team together. While iGaming demands agility, we’ve built a culture at Growe that prioritizes learning, progress, and teamwork.
Below, I’ll share some of the projects that have helped us retain our original essence from 2019, making Growe a space where innovation, creativity, and collaboration thrive.
Empowering ‘Trickle Up’ Innovation
In companies with a large, globally dispersed workforce, it can be challenging for employee-driven ideas to gain traction. But it can and should be done! At Growe, one of our top priorities is ensuring that our team members actively share their ideas with the wider company and play a key role in shaping our strategy. After all, employees whose ideas are taken into consideration by the Executive team are much more likely to be happy in their jobs!
At Growe, strategy isn’t just left to the C-level executives — quite the opposite. We see strategy formation as a collective endeavor that should involve every department across the organization, giving everyone an ability to speak up. This belief inspired our decision to host “One Vision,” an annual event where teams gather to collaborate on the company’s future directions.
Once a year, our team comes together for a multi-day session that features a range of team-building activities, such as mountain hikes and white-water rafting, followed by in-depth strategic workshops. This blend of physical and intellectual challenges helps us reset, connect as a team, and mentally prepare for our strategic work ahead. “One Vision” is a cornerstone of Growe’s future, laying a solid foundation for key strategic decisions that influence both our daily operations and our corporate culture. It’s a place where every idea is heard and is something that we’re incredibly proud of.
Fostering Continuous Learning and Development
Growe University, our comprehensive educational platform, is designed specifically to promote the holistic personal and professional development of our employees. In addition to offering a wide range of resources, training, and events, this initiative also helps to craft personalized growth paths for each team member, enabling them to reach their full potential. With a specific focus on teamwork and professional advancement, Growe University supports our employees in achieving new career heights.
We developed this initiative because we believe in supporting our team in broadening their educational framework. By giving everyone the resources to expand their professional capabilities, team members are more likely to pursue new opportunities and remain with Growe for several years.
One of the initiative’s programs, “Let’s Grow,” is dedicated to identifying and nurturing our future leaders. By exposing participants to real business challenges, “Let’s Grow” offers hands-on experience that they may not otherwise receive at other companies, equipping our team with the knowledge, confidence, and creativity to tackle complex issues.
Engaging and Inspiring Employees
Our people-first culture is reflected in our range of employee engagement programs available at Growe, each thoroughly designed to make work both productive and enjoyable for everyone. From in-house events and sports clubs to our Brand Ambassadorship program, which now includes over 50 ambassadors, we recognize that happy and engaged employees are more likely to stay with us for the long term. Not only does that help their own professional development, but from a company perspective, it helps us to foster a community of trust and close-knit collaboration.
We recently launched ‘Game On,’ an innovative gamified program designed to energize and connect our team. Employees earn ‘WeCoins’ for completing tasks, participating in training, and engaging with internal and external platforms. These coins can be redeemed for exciting rewards, from branded merchandise to iPhones, transforming work into an interactive and rewarding experience. These WeCoins can be exchanged for various rewards, including company-branded merchandise, masterclasses, professional development sessions, or even an iPhone. You could say we took inspiration from the industry we work in and ‘gamified’ the workday! This program has already had a hugely positive effect on employee satisfaction and allows us to reward team members who go the extra mile.
Embracing Creativity and Brave Decisions
An essential part of Growe’s culture is the ability to think outside the box and make brave decisions when it matters the most.
One unforgettable moment that embodies our culture came when two aspiring front-end developers boldly introduced themselves to our team outside the Warsaw Spire office. Instead of following the traditional route, they took the initiative to connect directly — a move that perfectly aligns with our values of bravery and creativity.
Danylo Hedz, one of the front-end developers interns, shared: “I’d thought about approaching people outside the office to explore work opportunities, but it was intimidating to go alone. Eventually, I discussed it with my friend Ivan, and we decided to try it. We printed out our CVs, spoke to around 50 people, and met a Growe employee who passed our information to HR. I’m very grateful for this opportunity.” Ivan Kharchenko added: “I have always dreamed of becoming a skilled programmer. Overcoming my fears and introducing myself to people directly led me to Growe, where I now have the opportunity to learn and grow every day with a fantastic team.”
This experience shows that sometimes, decisions that may seem daunting at first can really be the first steps in marking a new chapter — both in a business and personal development. If Danylo or Ivan had not printed their CVs that day, we would not have been introduced to them. They really stood out from the number of job applications we received and showed their commitment to thinking outside the box — something that our entire team admires! Reflecting on this unique hiring moment, Dmytro Rodin, Product Manager who initially met Danylo and Ivan, noted: “Company growth is twofold; we expand our team, and our team drives the company’s growth. For this to succeed, we must give young professionals a chance to show their potential. As we saw with Danylo and Ivan, sometimes the best talent finds us in the most unexpected ways.
